“Some people bring out the worst in you, others bring out the best, and then there are those remarkably rare, addictive ones who just bring out the most. Of everything. They make you feel so alive that you’d follow them straight into hell, just to keep getting your fix.” — Karen Marie Moning, Shadowfever
Tessa O’Connell is a girl as ordinary as they come-or so she thinks. Her aim for senior year is to keep her head down yet somehow manage to convince her childhood love Jay Stone to love her back. What she isn’t prepared for is for Jay’s brother, Cole to return to town and change the life she’s always been seemingly content to live. Tall, gorgeous as all hell and a bad boy with ocean blue eyes and the perfect edge of adorability, he was her greatest tormentor, her number one enemy. But the guy that’s come back is like no one Tessa’s ever come across. He challenges her, he tests her limits, he forces her to bring out the girl she’s long ago buried under a veil of mediocrity and most of all he compels her to consider that perhaps the boy that infuriates her to the point of no return might just her guardian angel.
This is a story which probably needs no introduction at all. If you’re on Wattpad, I’m pretty sure you’ve heard of it. Who hasn’t? It is one of the most popular books on the website and rightly so.
The way that Blair has written this story is absolutely, gorgeously and beautifully sensational. I love it. There are no words to tell you how much I love it.
Cole Stone, the hero, is essentially every girl’s dream come true. He’s that boy who you’ve admired for a long time and now you finally have him for yourself. And, he loves you. That’s the best part about it, eh? He’s sweet and he’s thoughtful. He’s romantic when he wants to be and he has such a way with words that will definitely turn you into a puddle of goo when you listen to him talk about his girl. The love that he has for Tessa is so deeply seated in his heart that it’s impossible to remove. Over the years, his love has only ever increased and it shows in the way he treats her, like she’s made of glass, like she’s his most priced possession. He’s badass and protective and possessive and if you look at his girl the wrong way, he will most certainly not think twice before burying you. He can do anything for her, and it actually means anything. From hitting his half – brother to breaking up with her so that his slutty groupies leave her alone, he’s done it all. And he will do it any number of times in the future, if it means he’s protecting his Tessie. I mean, how do you not fall for that, yeah?
And, then, there’s Tessa, who is timid and shy. She’s so unsure of herself and doesn’t have a lot of self esteem. In ways, she’s all of us. Her insecurities are those which most of the girls out there go through. She’s us. There’s no two ways about it. But, the way she blossoms with Cole around her is breathtaking to watch. From questioning his motives to wondering why would he ever be interested in a girl like her, Tessa now firmly believes in their relationship and knows that Cole’s in it with her for better and for worse. The way that transformation comes about is definitely a must read.
Cole and Tessa (or as us fans love to call them, Colessa) grow so much as individuals and as a couple in their journey. They make mistakes and they learn from them. They love fiercely and passionately. They have their fights and differences and at times thing are blown out of proportion, but they regroup and they talk it out and make up. Their relationship isn’t all sunshine and rainbows and they accept the fact. But, they know that what they’ve found in each other is something that people try to search for their entire lives and they’re ready to give it their all to save it! That’s what makes them such a beautiful couple.
The Bad Boy’s Girl is truly an amazing read and for any of you die hard romantics, it’s a must read, because this is one of the most amazing love stories I’ve come across in a while.
I’m sorry I totally went overboard with the quotes, but they’re just so damn lovely and amazing and beautiful and gorgeous! And that’s not all, I have a ton of such things on my phone! All pictures are a courtesy of Twitter/Google/Wattpad! Thank you! 😀
