11300302If anyone had told Alice Bell that her entire life would change course between one heartbeat and the next, she would have laughed. From blissful to tragic, innocent to ruined? Please. But that’s all it took. One heartbeat. A blink, a breath, a second, and everything she knew and loved was gone.

Her father was right. The monsters are real.

To avenge her family, Ali must learn to fight the undead. To survive, she must learn to trust the baddest of the bad boys, Cole Holland. But Cole has secrets of his own, and if Ali isn’t careful, those secrets might just prove to be more dangerous than the zombies.

Okay, so Alice in Zombieland, yeah? One word to sum it up – Ah – maze – ing! It’s so freakin’ awesome! I love this. Absolutely, totally, completely, wholly. So much so that I finished all four books in the series in like 2 days. Yeah. And, I had class and work in between. So, yes, I read every waking second of the day because I loved it so much!

All the books in the series are greatly written. There’s drama, there’s action, there’s betrayal, there’s romance and of course, there’s zombies. So very many selling points, eh? How do you say no to that?

I love the story, I love the characters and I love the setting. The story flows amazingly with new situations popping in every so often. The characters have amazing personalities. They’re funny, sexy and awesome. All their emotions are portrayed amazingly. Love, grief, helplessness, jealousy, anger. Everything. Yeah, you get all these emotions and so many more in the story.

Also, Alice, the heroine has a few tricks up her sleeve. And, she’s got kickass powers. So, there’s that to look forward to. She’s cute and feisty. She’s smart, funny, loving and adorable. I can very well see why Cole would fall for her. She’s a great female lead and the way her character develops in the story is phenomenal. From being a non – believer to being in denial and then acceptance and finally a zombie hunter, her journey is worth reading. She’s been through a lot in her short sixteen years of life, but she take every challenge head on and never gives up. That, I absolutely respect about her. Despite of all this, she’s just a teenage girl and has teenage reactions to stuff. She gets jealous easily, she’s frustrated at times and there’s moments that she’s absolutely helpless. So, she’s not completely perfect. Which is great.

And then, there’s Cole. *sighs*

How am I supposed to begin talking about Cole? He’s sexy, handsome, has a ton of tattoos and a complete bad boy vibe emanating out of him. But, he’s the bad boy with a heart of gold. He’s cute and downright adorable at times. He’s sweet and thoughtful and funny. And, he loves his Ali Bell more than anything. He’s insanely protective about her and would literally die for her. He’s got her name tattooed on his chest. Yeah, right on his chest for the entire world to see when he’s shirtless, which is often. (Where can I find my own Cole, Gena?)

This story is absolutely beautiful and lovely. It keeps you on edge the entire time you read it and leaves you wanting more. It’s absolutely, totally amazing!
